While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Mars is moving very fast against the background stars right now. 1 hour
clock error would probably translate to a few arc minutes of movement which
could be enough to miss it in a 9mm eyepiece.

UT does not change with Daylight Savings. Once the clock is set with the
difference to UT you should not have to worry about changing the clock time
in the LX200 when Daylight Savings happens. Daylight Savings only changes
your local time 1 hour closer or further from UT, and the LX200 doesn't care
about your local time as long as it knows UT.

So make sure that the clock of the LX200 is set correctly relative to UT and
you should be fine. In fact one could simply set the LX200 clock to UT and
have a 0 offset.
