I barlow a 7mm Nagler on my 18"--actually a little less than 800x. A
friend with a 20" Obsession showed me it could be done with surprising
results--his is at 800x-- if the seeing is good. My dark site is 100
miles north of Dallas in the boonies of Oklahoma. Jason Ware and some of
the other club photographers have taken some pretty good astropics at
the site so from time to time we have some pretty good skies.
