While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book

I think I have discovered a bug in the CDS software version 6.34. The lat,
long and time are correct and the scope was balanced. I seems to me that the
mount should not move if I sync on the last goto then press goto again. If I
goto an object, there is some error so I move the mount to center the object
using the NSEW keys and then sync. If goto is then pressed the mount moves
to some other location nearby. It seems that Meade may have goofed on the
flip in RA as the dec swings over the meridian. The system works fine to the
west of the meridian and was able to find Mars every time. Earlier when Mars
was east of the meridian there was a constant error even after syncing on
Mars. Also the problem with pressing goto after a sync shows up in the east
only.
