Just a thought but maybe some part of your setup is hitting the forks
or the base?
Are you using a wedge? I have had my LX200 10" hit on a slew with the
CCD camera attatched, not a good feeling . Tracking would be a slow crash
and in the dark it would be hard to see what might be hitting..
