Well, I can see part of the problem. It is this Media Brokerage
thing. That is very close to Media Breakerage, which seems to be your
problem. HMMMM!!!! :-)

Seriously, I had a 416 and the 616 for about 18 months. Both items
were a disaster for different reasons. The 416 did not have working
software and the 616 was so poor mechanically that it stuck on and off
at random. However, I never broke off one of the connecting pins. I
thought it was very nice to have the connection hidden and not requiring
a separate wire. At the same time, I felt, as you do that the pins were
exceedingly delicate and the two units has to be coupled with more than
normal care.

With the requirement that the filter wheel and the imager be tightly
coupled, the Meade concept is excellent. But like so many things it is
poorly carried out because of the choice of connectors.

I know of no solution for this problem. I solved it by getting rid of
the whole damn setup and getting the ST imager.
