I purchased a new Magellan I direct from Meade (the normal method from =
Australia) a couple of months ago and it came with Version 2.0. As far =
as I am aware that is still the latest version.
=20
I use mine on an EQ mount and the only advice I have is that if you do =
a reasonable polar alignment (with a compass, corrected for mag dev, and =
set the angle of the OT to your latitude) you should get any 'fixed' =
object inside a one degree fov.

I just bought a used Magellan 1 Version 2.0.
What is the latest update, how much is it, what is the cost, is it =
worth upgrading. I would also be interested in any tips or hints for the =
Magellan 1.
