Sheer GENIUS. I would never have thought of that.
It's a shame the northern hemisphere business world can't think upside down like we
have to, and issue decent instructions.

I thought I remembered from some 12 months or so ago that this discussion came up
and John Hoot (I think it was) said the camera did need to be warmed slowly. But I
bow to experience and knowledge. Thank you.

It is not a crucial thing, but it is easier to see almost invisible objects. It
could make the difference of seeing or not seeing a target during astrometry
sessions. It's the old
'Trying to get the Keck magnitude depth with an 8inch scope" syndrome.
If it's easy to do then good, but if not easy, then I'll live without it.

I think that would be a great help. Would you believe that Meade is sending out the
new 416's with 6.4 release 1 software ? If I could spare any more hair I'd be
pulling that out too.
