I know a proper method of setting up the chopper assembly but it requires
the use of an oscilloscope which is unfortunately an instrument that most
people do not have or do not know how to use.You can do it by ear but it is
only a rough method and a lot of luck is included.

Do you agree that there has been far too little posted about those
adjustments? I have seen references to them periodically, but no real
traffic to speak of. Sounds like they are likely candidates for DEC
runaways and other related failures.
