While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
The important considerations are:
Rigid mounting for the guidescope.
No flexure in the focussing tube (the Orion ST loses out here).
f/l at least half that of the main scope.
The whole assembly is well balanced.
A 60mm refractor would be best on the 8" I think, the 90mm is a bit big
(long).
