While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Thanks for the answers on the C-Sat program. Here is what I'm doing:
I am performing a careful two star alignment using an illuminated eyepiece (I
think a 12mm), my date and time is correct down to the second in both my
lx200 and my computer.
I live in Fountain Valley, CA and according to the map service liked on
C-Sat's webb site, my Latitude is 33.7281876 and my Longitude is -117.9320602
(I found my house). I input this into the program as 33.72820 and
-117.93210 respectively. Should I have multiplied the decimal values by 60
to obtain the minutes?
My UTC offset is +8.0 hours and I am currently in pacific daylight time. I
think that puts me at +9.0 hours offset from the UTC.
I am using the current May, 99 "TLE" file and I still cannot obtain a single
view.
Am I missing something here?
