Alf,
Have quite a few nights worth of images of this SN. I'm using a Pictor
416XT on a Meade 12". Just measured a 45 sec. exposure from last night,
the 18th-19th. Not using any filters but with an Optec F3.3, the
calibration being done on MaxIm-DL and comparing it to the AAVSO chart
at
http://www.aavso.org/alerts/alert258/NGC2841-E.GIF
This gives me a Magnitude of 13.64. I believe this is pretty close as
the other stars are the correct mag. when checked as reference to the
calibration star's mag.
This is new to me so forgive any ommissions of data. I used an unbinned
image as it was a good evening. To shorten the download times I resized
the image to NGC 2841 and a bit of the surrounding area.
Am using a muffin fan on an extended arm from the wall of the
observatory to help cool the main camera. It also dawned on me(an early
dawn at that time of night) that it likely helps in cooling the Pictor
201 used on a 600 mm telephoto lense guiding shortish exposures. The fan
can easily be aimed to take in both cameras.
Regards,
Eric
