While you're here, how about checking out the

I have found my focus motor excellent for focussing cd images but a waste
of time for conventional focussing. For some reason due to the slowness when
I am looking through an eyepiece using the motor I always overshoot. When
using your hand on the focussing knob you can pop through focus quickly in
both directions and soon achieve correct focus. The problem with My CCD set
up is that the computer is in another building next door to the scope so the
only way I can see the image I am focussing on is via a Mirror.I find it
easier to simply put the cross bar mask on the scope face then wind in the
focus looking for the best diffraction spike effect until focus is
achieved. The motor assembly for the focus motor has a slipping clutch this
may have to be tightened depending on how tight your focussing action is on
your scope. In my case for the motor to engage reliably I had to use a knife
to trim out the plastic cover on the scope that the motor assembly fits in
to.This was because it was slightly off center and dragged a little. I have
never regretted buying the focus motor and reckon it as an essential
accessory and as I have mentioned previously useful for some appplications
but not all.
