While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Is anyone out there successfully using Pictor View XT with 32bit drivers?
I have an Adaptec 1460 PCMCIA card on my laptop. The 416 shows CONNECT SCSI
when I turn it on but the Pictor View software will not talk to the camera.
Win98 even recognizes the 416 and asks for the drivers for it when I boot up
windows. Since I don't have any, other than the Pictor view software, Win98
adds an unknown device named Meade 416 Pictor. I have the 32 bit drivers
installed. I tried to load the 16bit drivers in Win95 (and on a Win98) laptop
with no luck. I don't think I should even have to use drivers made for an OS
that is about 7 years old but that's another story.

TIA.

Al
