While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi

Does anyone know if Meade (or Celestron) is planning to use the
Ultra/Ever/Maxi bright special mirror coatings now used by Astro-Physics
and Televue in their 2" mirror diagonals. These mirrors give 99% instead of
86% of standard mirrors and are much more resistant. The important thing is
not the extra 13% light we get, is that the scattered light is reduced in a
14 / 1 ratio, much improving contrast in some objects, like planets and
mainly the sun.
I for one would be very interested in such scopes.
Maybe it is possible to send our mirrors to the company who makes this
coatings to AP and TV. Does anyone know the company ?
