While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I'm trying to find room in my house or garage for my new LX200 carrying
case. I've found a good spot, but the case will only fit if it's standing
on its end so that the objective end of the scope is either facing the
ceiling or the floor.

Does anybody know if this can damage the scope in any way? If not, does it
matter which end is up, the objective or the eye piece?

I've always stored my scopes horizontally, and so I haven't had occasion to
deal with this before.

Thanks.
