While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Not according to the guy I just talked to at JMI. He said that their
ac ra motor wouldn't work on a starfinder, and my only hope was to
contact Meade and see if they had any old ac ra motors laying around
(which they used to use on SF's before they went dc).

Aargh.

Jay

functionality from Starfinder/MagellanII combos, and even the relay
box they offer for ccd ag's isn't compatible with Starfinder EQs. I
thought there might be a ray of hope from JMI, but their Mototrak V
requires an AC r/a motor (although it uses a DC dec motor - weird,
huh?) and Meade doesn't offer an AC motor option for my scope. I
would prefer a solution that doesn't cost as much as an LX200 (in
which case I would just buy an LX200) but I'm in no position to be
picky...

JMI offers an ac ra motor for the starfinder.
