I just put thrust bearing on the Azimuth of the Super Wedge (I already
have them on the Alitude). The bearings wouldn't quite fit on the out
board side so instead of getting a longer piece of stainless steel all
thread I decided to put the bearings on the inside. All I needed to add
besides the bearings and outer runners was two extra 1/2" nuts along with
the half height jam nuts to lock the bearings on the inside of the wedge.
I put the adjustment knobs on leaving about 11/4" sticking thru the knob
than the acorn nut which I jam the acorn nut against the knob. This job
took less than 20 minutes............the jam nut and knob/acorn nut have
loctite on them so you need to heat or have good tools to get them
off..............I also have a modified 3/4" (the nut size) combination
wrench that been shaved to 5/16" thickness to help in removing/tightening
the jam nuts.............ric
