Thanks for the help on the parallel port problem. I used a combination of a
specific command string to trigger the power to the LPT device as suggested
as well as a second autoexec batch file to disable power to the device
before windows has a chance to play with the port. Seems to have done the
trick. I appreciate the helpful suggestions.

I will be beta testing the system over the next few weeks (weather
permitting). To help me out, I thought I would get requests for images from
interested people via email and then return their pictures via email. If
anyone would like to participate please repond directly to me by email at
requests.
