Pictorview (being written to support Win 3.1) requires that the TZ environment
variable be set to properly get GMT into the FITS header. Your experience of seeing
7 hours added is consistent with this variable not being set (and Microsoft assuming
that you are in the same timezone as Microsoft headquarters). This is true even if
you are using Win 95 or Win 98 (setting Windows time and timezone does not set the
TZ variable).
As for the exposure time problem (after dark frame subtraction), I can confirm that
this is a problem. I will notify Meade. However, it will not be fixed in 6.45
since that has been completed and is ready for posting (see Clark's message).
