While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi
I read your mail about vibrations. I always used the manual locking of
my mirror, but i know that a very effective way of eliminiating small
vibrations, is by haning to rubber coated chains from the front of
your scope. The vibration will induce a movenment in the chains and
the rubber friction will disapite the energie. Dont be afrraid to use
heavy chains, as this will improve the efficiency. (of course not so
haeavy that yourmount/locks cant take it).

Good luck

Bjorn
