While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Welcome to MFC and Microsoft's Multiple Document Interface. This is
the "standard" behavior that Microsoft wants you to see. I agree it is
really annoying, though. I "maximize" the child window(s) and CTRL-TAB
between them.
