While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi Andy - you may want to talk to Chris Vedeler who used a 208XT before he
upgraded to an ST-4. From what I've heard I understand that the 208XT is
essentially a 201XT with cooling - OK that'll make it guide on fainter
stars due to the lower dark current, but it takes a lot more than cooling
to give it the capability of the ST-4. I would have though that the 208XT
must be quite close to the ST-4 in price, so if you're in that sort of
market you should definitely look at the ST-4. It's the one that's used by
all the advanced amateurs and quite frankly there's nothing to beat it. If
the 208XT came anywhere close I expect we'd find a few of the advanced
people using it, no? You can also find ST-4s on AstroMart from time to
time - that's how I got mine.
