While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

My setup is a 10 inch LX200 f/10 with a ST7, an Optec MAXfield f/3.3 focal reducer, and a Meade
electric focuser. I also have the Meade 6.3 reducer but don't use it anymore in preference for getting
a greater field of view from the 3.3 reducer (about 26 x 13 arc minutes). I plan to upgrade to the ST7E

sometime later this summer. I'm very pleased with the above setup.

The only cloud on my horizon is that my LX200 went on the fritz last week and Meade still hasn't
responded to my inquiries! My scope is two years old so I guess that places me low on their priority.
It irks me that they haven't responded even just to say they got my faxes/messages - I can understand a

waiting list for repair but can't understand their ignoring my messages.

Clear skies
