I used a Meade 1200 focusser on my 12" LX 200 a couple of years ago. As
Dave points out, it is not a crayford type and it is only of limited use
for CCD work due to a considerable amount of flexure. Travel is very
limited too and it uses up quite a bit of back focus. Focussing was
pretty smooth but there is no possibility to add digital readout. I sold
my unit after I got hold of my first JMI focusser which I consider far
superior.
