Hi, Lou:
You may indeed be having motherboard problems but check the date in the
scope before you do anything else. It shouldn't have changed by 3 months
overnight, but if it is wrong, it could explain the difference in amount of
RA rotation. In alignment mode, the LX200 rotates in RA differently
depending on the date: in winter the eyepiece is under the OTA and very hard
to get at; right now, the eyepiece is nicely positioned on top for getting
Polaris in the cross-hairs.
