While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi all,
I've been following this thread for a while and was wondering, given
the expressed difficulty in tracking satellites, how was the Mir/Shuttle
picture taken that is displayed in the Meade catalog? Isn't it just a
large satellite? I have not researched satellite speeds or orbital
altitudes, but it would seem to me that a more massive object would
require a higher velocity at a given altitude to counteract the effects
of gravity than a less massive object. This would lead one to believe
that a smaller satellite would be more easily tracked than a larger one.
What am I missing?
Ron
