While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Hi

This was actually the same I had in mind ;-)
I have a small latching relay (so the current will remain switched of)
a LED, a microswitch for on the fork and on the pier there are already
for switches that I wanted to use as panic buttons. As I am complete
electronics newbe, I have done everything from first principles. I
will try if it works tonight, and let u know

Bjorn

P.S. If i remember correctly thesky only stops movements that END in
the zone of avoidance, it does not prevent the scope slewing trough
it, but I could be mistaken.
