It is never a waste of time to build the Cookbook Camera, I would
consider it but didn't have the funds to do so. Construction of an imager
is challenging and has a build it myself and I can fix it sound to it. I
have the 216 and think it a wonderful starter camera that will get you
into everything you will need to image, plus it gives pretty nice
pictures. You can use the dos program for older computers or the Windoze
program for faster machines.
