While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Amazing! Paul Goelz just reported the same bug last week, and
it's been in there since version 1.1 (Sept 1998)!!!!

Chris and John, thanks for offering to help, but Tony has indeed
encountered a bug. While the Sites dialog handles the UTC offset
properly, the normal startup fails in this regard.

The Site info is designed to accept only the Stnadard Time UTC
offset, and then automatically switch the scope's UTC offset at
the Daylight-Standard switchover dates for you. If you use the
Sites dialog, this works OK. But when you start ACP and just let
it load the last-selected site info into the scope, it fails to
apply the daylight correction.

This will be fixed (is fixed) in the up-coming 1.2 version, which
I have scheduled for release in 4-6 weeks (beta very soon).

Meanwhile, during Daylight time, you can do one of two things:

(1) After starting ACP, use the Sites dialog and Set the current
site into the scope. This will cause the daylight-adjusted UTC
offset to be applied to the scope.

(2) After starting ACP, manually correct the UTC offset for
daylight time using the handbox.

(3) (not recommended) Purposely set the site UTC offset one hour
lower than it should be and ignore the warning. Save and Set the
site, which will result in the UTC offset being wrong. But then
exit and restart ACP and the UTC offset will be correct. You can
then run ACP normally over and over unless you change the site
info.

This is covered in an ACP Knowledge Base article at

http://Support.dc3.com/wsx/$webstar.exe/prob?40

My apologies to all for this one... It showed up on Moon go-to's
for obvious reasons, it didn't affect star/deep-sky go-to's.
