I prefer to set everything to the Local Standard Time (LST) for the
following reasons:

Most astronomy software asks you to input your lon/lat. It then
calculates the GMT offset. The software then gets the time from the
computer. If you were to set the computer time to GMT the view in
the software would be off by the offset. By setting everything to LST
and disabling Windows daylight savings time option, it all falls into place.
