While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Up to now the collimation discussion for LX200 has been very
interesting, however I have an awkward problem that some of you may
understand with this type of collimation method (shiny balls) "written with
the best of intent".
My property size at home as most in UK is limited in size and I have a
permanently mounted polar set up.
The farthest I could set up something like a reflective object away from the
scope would be 80 feet at best and at an angle of approx 40 degrees to the
horizon. This would happen if I mounted the reflective object onto the top
of my drop down amateur radio mast. It would also be practical to put a
powered pin hole or slit up there just as easy and do it at night instead.
Is this practical or am I wasting my time.
