While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Yes with caveat, it depends on the display scale, things dimmer than
say mag 10 don't plot until the field drops to a few degrees, if you
plotted them with a FOV of say 60 degrees the screen would be white.
You can enable and disable the GSC and you can set the mag display
limits.
I don't remember if the mag limit works I have always used it at max.

Actually I wish that you could add the USNO SA2.0 or even better the
A2.0 catalog but that isn't available.
