While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
I am intending to buy a CCD until the end of 99. Then for
experience I've used a Webcam II videoconference capture device
to make some tests. I've exposed the CCD and I've noted that
sometimes the focus was good and sometimes was bad.
Finally I understood the problem. As the image have a two arc
sec/pixel density the irregularities of LX50 drive motion defocused
the images in only three or four seconds of exposure.
Then I have some questions about the actual possibility of a use
in a LX50 of, for example, unguided images that lasts above five or
ten seconds.
Somebody out there have tested the unguided CCD capability of a
LX50 ?
As guiding needs a one second correction to pinpoint CCD
images, anybody has some experience and could show me the
difficulties founded in set up "the thing " ?
Thankx
Paulo Cacella
