By all accounts the balancing mode that you can enter via your handset rapidly moves the OTA up and down and apparently this can put undue stresses and strains on the Dec gearing and possibly lead to early wear and tear which will give you more backlash.
Mapuggers advise to refrain from using this setting because of that. Hope this helps.
