This is true for me. My 12" has a lot of flex. Unfortunately,
the flex is variable based on position of Polaris, and
I have not been analytical enough to just "compensate" during
initial rough polar alignment.
On the other hand, I rarely drift align and just live with the
offset. I can image for 2 min 80% of the time at f/6.3
