Perhaps I misunderstand your note, but... if you want to automate the
camera from a program, excel macro, JavaScript or whatever, you cant do it
via the low-level RS-232. Meade hasnt and probably wont release the low
level protocol. However MaxIM DL/CCD V2 has an ActiveX interface to the
camera that makes it really easy to script camera and guider ops. Also,
MaxIm DL/CCD does a really clean job of controlling the Pictor 416/1616
imagers.
