Dear Tore,
Id advise against the MagII. I have an LX50 10" and MagII for the
last few years. I live in the Southern Hemisphere and the damned thing has
not worked properly here until just recently. The hardware is good but the
software really sucks. I do not know of any one that has either a MagI or II
unit her in Australia that can get all functions to work properly. This is
even with the current version of the software (2.5). You cannot do a one
star alignment on antares as this gives RA encoder errors (ie reads 64hr ...
sec) You need to polar align and level the scope. Buy something else and you
will be far less frustrated.
Regards, Allan
