Hi Tore,
I have a Magellan II on my LX-50 and I have never really been happy with it.
Accuracy is a hit or miss even with a 2 star allignment with a 106 rating.
There is so much play in the encoders ( especially the dec where Meade tells
u in to wrap the axle with tape supporting the gear to " take the slop out
"). Im still reading articles and trying to inprove the accuracy, but
really its a frustrating pain in the butt. I wish that I would have spent
that $500 on better lenses or other useful accesories. Im much better of
starrhopping. :)
Clear nights, John
