While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I always align my 10" LX-200 using the drift method till I do not observe
any drift in 5 minutes or more. Last weekend, after a good drift alignment,
I was trying to return to Polaris (GOTO star#19 command) and I could not
find the star closer than 1 FOV using the MEADE 9mm reticle eyepiece (about
11arcmin at f/10). Curiously, after that, I could find several objects in
the FOV of the same eyepiece and guide with a minimum number of corrections
in RA (gc<2 with the 201-XT at f/10). Moreover, I have never found any
problem performing the standard polar alignment or even the iterative
alignment method. Could anyone explain me such phenomenon?

Thanks in advance

David
