While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

This is a non-trivial topic for all of us who wear glasses! The limited
eye-relief available with the higher magnification eyepieces makes
observing with glasses difficult, rather like looking through a long
tube. My own solutions are: 1. contact lenses, but these provide
almost perfect distance vision and do not help with the reading of
charts, computer screens etc. 2. An old pair of spectacles originally
modified for small-bore rifle shooting. I have removed the right lens
and the upper part of the frame. This allows me to observe with the
right eye (fortunately very little astigmatism) and to read with the left
eye.
Wearing spectacles on a cord round the neck is a pain: they get
tangled up with the telescope and in our cold climate it is difficult to
force them over ears that are buried inside a balaclava helmet.

The main disadvantage of not using corrective lenses is that it is
difficult to share the telescope with other people, at a demonstration
for example. For them the 'scope may be out of focus and one
never knows if the unskilled user is able to focus correctly. You
sometimes get rather odd answers to "what do you see?"
