One other thing that you may want to add to the list without a large
additional cost is a piggyback mount. Remember that there are a lot of
subjects in the night sky that are interesting and more than one degree in
size. Think of your telescope as one more lens that you have in your camera
bag, and a way to track the sky. It's not the only way to do
astrophotography. The best astro photograph that I have taken was with a
camera on a tripod off the balcony of my apt. No telescope at all.
