While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I also use the 3-hole mask. I place my old & slow laptop out next to the
telescope running the DOS version of CCDOPS to do the collimation. That way
the screen is up next to the front of the telescope. It's then easy to note
the direction the image moves off screen and bring it back. A brief trial
will let you orient the hand controller or pod so that the slew buttons are
lined up with movements on the screen.
