While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Greetings from down-under!

I have a 12" LX200 scope, which I operate with a Pentium PC and Skymap
Pro v5. Up until last week, everything has worked flawlessly.

Now, whenever I try to open a connection from the program to the
telescope, Skymap returns an error, saying it cannot establish a
connection.

I have replaced the computer and the cable (one at a time), and still
get the same error. So it seems likely that the telescope is the
culprit. As far as I can tell, every other function on the scope works
OK.

Anybody got any suggestions?
