While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

Last night I put a new set of batteries into my ETX90EC. I then connected my
computer via the Autostar. The scope had a 'motor failure error'. The
batteries had depleted to 50%. When I tried the scope without the computer
the batteries, although now somewhat depleted, powered the scope OK. I know
the connection must use a lot of power but this was a surprise.

I was wondering if anyone could confirm this to be normal behaviour and
normal power drain.

Regards

Andrew Jackson
