While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I see a spot with a bunch of diffraction rings that's slightly off center -
but that's only because I applied a large white paper label to the entire
surface of the wedge. This way the reflectance of the wedge is increased
dramatically, and I could accurately draw with a black pen the outline of
the returned "image". Subsequent uses of the collimator require that the
image lines up with the outline. Using the "stock" black anodized wedge
surface was very difficult for me.

Jim, I'd recommend that you make the wedge face more reflective or provide a
paper label that covers most if not all of the surface.
