While you're here, how about checking out the
Astronomy Book
List ? |
Jack, thanks for the tip..but I had already tried reversing the keypad/base and
DEC/base cables - I forgot to mention that : (
I'd like to ask why your first suggestion is a runaway DEC drive? I have scanned
many of the MAPUG Archive articles as well as those on other web sites, and thus
far have found no mention of the keypad noise associated with a runaway DEC.
Lots of discussion of weird noises and behavior in the drive, but not the
keypad. I put the keypad in a foam lined box to quiet it down, and do not hear
or see any activity in the DEC drive, only the RA. Have I missed a clue
somewhere?
Thanks again,
Chuck
