While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

I have now had the opportunity to use a laser/holographic collimator to
align some telescopes and other optical equipment. I have completed a
very long article on my experience with special attention to collimating
Cassegrain (and SCT) type telescopes.

The laser was loaned to me by Mr. H Glatter. It seems to work very well
and exactly as he describes in his instructions. It is a powerful tool
and does tell you a lot about your telescope is a quick an easy fashion.

Those interested in optical adjustments, collimation and the like, might
find my discussion interesting.

It is located in the Mechanical Concerns section on my web site.

Sincerely -- Doc G <http://www.mailbag.com/users/ragreiner>
