While you're here, how about checking out the Astronomy Book List ?

We have a new NGF-S on our 16" Meade too and have experienced both light
leaks and some internal reflections too. I have talked with JMI about this,
but they did not have any immediate solutions. Its a shame that you must
wrap this expensive focuser in black cloth or something to do CCD imaging if
there is any ambient light, but doing this helps a lot.

best regards,

arto

I was wondering if any of you have any mods for light leak in the JMI
NGF-S. I have an older model NGF-S which is not "light tight" around the
bearings and edges, and it is in need of some sort of covering or something
to make it more light tight. We just got a new model for the 16" LX200
which is a much better design, but has some light leak around the bearings.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
