We've got a 16" scope at FDO (Frosty Drew Observatory) and one of our
eyepieces is a new 12mm Type 4 Nagler. We rarely see conditions stable
enough to warrant its use, though. When our 32mm Konig isn't enough, we
generally go to a 8mm-24mm zoom to get to the right balance of magnification
vs. clarity.
What we really need is an eyepiece in the low 20's which would provide
good seeing at high mags. On a 10", I think something in the mid-teens
would be the best bet to get the mag without getting "mushy".
The quest continues :)
