I too tried Pictorview 7.0 I didn't get as far is you did. It kept hanging
(locking up)
my computer, which is a brand new Dell with Win98, lots of RAM, & no other
potentially conflicting software.I called Meade & talked to the CCD expert
who didn't seem interested in any of the specifics, but who repeatedly urged me
to
try Version 6.45. while alluding to the fact that "there might be a few bugs to
be worked out" in the new software. I tried Ver. 6.45 and it works fine, no
problems. I think I'll wait for Ver. 7.1.
